Stranger things - A recap
This Netflix original is the talk of the town as of now, owing to it's cinematography, background music, the plot twists and not to forget the immensely talented cast.
Season 1
In season 1, we are introduced to 4 friends-who are party (a geek club kind🤔)-
Will Byers, Dustin Henderson, Lucas Sinclair and Mike Wheeler, residing in a fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. Absolute total nerds, their life revolves around science projects with their science teacher, building equipment and playing D&D in Mike's basement. Their life is turned upside down when Will is abducted by a nether worldly creature which the party thinks is demogorgan. They team up with El(short for eleven), a girl with telekinetic powers to find Will - parallel to Will's mom and brother , Joyce and Jonathan with the help of police chief Jim Hopper. As the story progresses, they face shocking revelations about Will's location and find an unusual way to interact with him. In the season end, El sacrifices herself while closing the gate for Upside Down.
Season 2
Coming to season 2, we see how will struggles with PTSD from his abduction. He is struggling to get along with his friends, desperately trying to return to normalcy. Elsewhere, his friends Lucas and Mike try to get girlfriends, whereas Dustin has a new best friend Steve. Will turns into a spy for the MindFlayer. The MindFlayer directs the demogorgans to where Will is to take out the enemies. In a fight in the hospital, Joyce's boyfriend Bobby gets killed by the demogorgan's, leading to Joyce determination to kill the MindFlayer. While Jonathan, Nancy and Joyce try to get the part of MindFlayer from out of Will, Jim gets assistance in closing the gate.
Season 3
Hawkins' new attraction in season 3 is a StarCourt Mall- But under it lies a dreadful secret. Joyce is puzzled about magnets, while a new group is formed to uncover the secrets of the mall. Mike and Lucas now have girlfriends, while Dustin swears he has a girlfriend too, from Camp KnowWhere- Suzie. Will feels distant from his friends, while Nancy pursues a weird lead- about rats. Billy, Max's brother acts differently and many people from the town disappear, only to reappear with a different attitude. Everything connected to the happenings under the Mall. Who are they? What are they after?
Season 4
While Season 4 is just out, I don't want to spoil the fun just yet by briefing the season, still I would say this is darker than the rest of the seasons, with more thrill, even more suspense, a look into the past and a shocking revelation at the end. As told earlier, this season is worth the wait, exceeding every expectation, keeps you hooked on, not stopping you until you binge watch the entire season.
